On Sunday 6th October 2019 I'm going to run the Shrewsbury Half Marathon as part of Team Hope House. 

Many local children and their families will benefit greatly from any funds raised, every pound is very much appreciated 

I will again be running in memory of my brother, Ben Blain. Never far from my thoughts Ben would have been 29 this year, he sadly passed away when he was just 13. 

Hope House is very close to my heart, I was lucky enough to go and re-visit a couple of years ago and was struck by the same comforting and familiar welcome that we had received as a family back in the 90's when it first opened. The support given to families there is second to none. 

People sometimes ask why I run. Quite simply, because I can. 

I run this race for Ben, for his lovely smiley face and all the happy memories he gave us.
